13. Local YMCA check

Often the YMCA offers a free pass or a free trial period for a few visits. All you have to do is contact us.

A great option, especially for families, is a community recreation center. You’ll find gym equipment such as free weights and fitness classes, as well as additional features and amenities such as children’s programs and swimming pools.

Now these places aren’t completely free, but you can save money because you can pay for each visit. Alternatively, you can pay for a membership for a year, and it’s usually much cheaper than a regular gym.

Contact your city’s recreation center for more information.

15. Ask your employer

Did you know that some employers pay some or all of your gym membership?

They do! Through the corporate wellness program, employers help employees pay or give gym memberships free of charge.

For example, these gyms offer cheaper corporate memberships.

Make sure your employer has a corporate health program. If not, you can ask your HR department to set up a corporate membership at your local gym or fitness center so your employees can get a discount or free membership.

16. Try ClassPass

If you prefer fitness classes over regular gym memberships, try ClassPass. It’s a website and app that you can use to book studio and digital classes.

17. Google Search

If all else fails, I recommend that you go to Google and check if there is a local gym that is completely free.

When I searched for the term “free gyms near me”, I got a list of public gyms available for free nearby. They also get directions, so this is a great tip if you are looking for a free local gym. Yelp is also good. In fact, when I did a Google search on Yelp, I got a list of 10 free gyms nearby.

To get started, simply search for the terms “free gyms around me” or “free gyms”. [name of city].” For example, you can search for’free gym NYC’. If there is a free gym nearby, it will show you.

Work out for free!

Many gyms offer free gym passes. The problem is that you use the free pass at all places on the list (if you have a location nearby) and get free gym access for more than a month! And don’t forget to try my tips!

Oh, and what about skipping the gym altogether and working out at home instead? I much prefer exercising at home. It’s free if you pay the initial cost of the equipment!
